Zoe & Peter

Well, what a corker of a wedding! On Saturday the 8th of September, I had the pleasure of photographing Zoe & Peter Rees on their big day.

I was really touched at how much of a close knit family this was … it felt like they were all integrated into each others clans –  That’s how families should be!

So, I joined the girls at the beautiful Gregynog Hall for getting ready shots and after a morning of drooling over Zoe’s fabulous dress (not literally may I add…) we headed to Machynlleth for St Peter’s church.

It was absolutely CHUCKING it down in true welsh style but that did not dampen our spirits (pardon the pun)! Once we were back at Gregynog for photos, we made the most of the various rooms and got some cracking shots in the library … it felt like I was on the set of a bridal magazine shoot!

We did get some pics outside in the end, messed around with doughnuts – as ya do – everyone ate, drank and was rather merry (not the photographer though) and partied into the night!

#perfectwedding.

Tom & Samantha

On the 18th of August I got to photograph a delightfully vintage, country wedding down in Bryngwyn, Monmouthshire.  For a couple that had only ever lived 5 miles apart, it seemed only right to have the ceremony to the reception less than 5 minutes apart!

Our horse-riding Bride was getting ready at the family home where I got to see all her awards from riding competitions – it felt appropriate to use them as a prop – especially her recent HOYS 1st prize! Ooo-ee!  Sadly, her gorgeous horse was not around for photos 🙁

There was a LOT of fun after the ceremony.  The groomsmen were on form with their poses, they completely lost it during the dual best-man speech and later on into the evening … well, lets just say they got a bit handsy with the Groom!

Tom & Samantha were a beautiful couple to photograph and really lovely people.  It was a pleasure to be your photographer guys – thank you!

Mica & Ben

This past weekend on the 7th of July, I had an absolute stunner of a wedding to shoot for the lovely Mica & Ben!

The venue was being held at Rococo Gardens in Painswick, South of Gloucester. And my goodness, what a venue!

Mica walked down through the fenced garden to a petal-lined aisle. The congregation awaited her in their deckchairs and on their sprawled picnic rugs – it was a delightfully relaxed affair!

After the ceremony, we made our way around the various hidden parts of the gardens for photos.  It was just so beautiful – I could have stayed there all day … although it was baking hot and we probably would have keeled over from dehydration if we did.

The reception venue was pretty epic however – we went to this bar & restaurant called The Malthouse that had a real urban – let’s party in the warehouse – vibe!  And once the party started, it was set for the rest of the night.

One of the highlights of the night was the sweet tiny moves little Master Confaloni was throwing about – he was amazing –  What a cool kid!

Anyways, Ben & Mica, thank you for a gorgeous wedding to shoot.  You are a flippin’ fabulous couple!
