Family fun time!

It’s such a lovely thing to be surrounded by a family who, although usually have great distances parting them, are so close.

The lovely Sian hired me to capture some family fun time before she had to head back with hubby and daughter to New Zealand.

I went to the family house in my local town of Knighton to photograph everyone together – playing croquet, frolicking in the stream and cycling with no stabilisers for the FIRST TIME!! It was great fun!

Here are the highlights…

Sam & Jamie

I had SUCH a lovely time shooting this wedding at the gorgeous Wilde Lodge.  It was a super chilled yet rather emotional occasion – just stuffed full of love.

On the 1st of June, Sam & Jamie, along with their children, performed a hand fasting ceremony to solidify their marriage. The hand-made cords included pendants of a Lily and a Robin to represent their children.

There were some lovely details throughout the day :-

  • Home made bunting,
  • Performances and readings were done by family and friends – a talented bunch indeed!
  • Croquet on the lawn,
  • The children picked flowers and decorated the cake at the end of the meal,
  • And I loved the local cat…

The venue of Wilde Lodge is regal, intimate and surrounded by beautiful nature – Jemma and her team provide a fantastic service too – the food looked epic!  I’m rather excited to shoot another wedding here at the end of the month 🙂

A massive congratulations to Sam and Jamie in your new wedded bliss!

Ceri & Ed

What a LUSH Bride and Groom I got for this wedding…they were serious fun!

I shot Ceri’s lovely sister’s wedding a few years ago, so it was great going back to a family I knew, with a few more cute wee additions!

Following tradition Ceri and Ed had the wedding at Carno Chapel with their tipi reception tent just a stones throw away. It was such a lovely relaxed day all being close together … In fact you can see the chapel, tent and family house in the background of their couple shots on the hill!

It was a pleasure to photograph a couple that were so close.  Ceri & Ed have been together for over 12 years and you can see that bond – an absolutely fab couple!

Highlights of the day for me were…

  • Ceri getting putting the ring on the wrong finger and having a laughing fit,
  • Ed getting a confetti bomb to the face (sorry Ed, but it was hilarious),
  • Ceri nearly went flying onto mud during the couple shots but she just laughed – What a gal!
  • Amazing bridesmaids – the big ones and little ones,
  • Night time face gems for everyone,
  • Some serious dance floor action!

All in all this was an absolute corker.

Congrats to Ceri & Ed – I wish you all the best with lots of laughs to come (although I think that’s a given with Ceri around)!
