Sophie & Alex

Well this was a delightful day at Tall John’s House! I have been here numerous times now and NEVER have I been into the secret room behind the bookcase! What an epic venue!

Showers were threatening our forcast for the day but they never came!  We managed to have the ceremony outside in the beautiful grounds surrounded by the bluebells. This ceremony had such heart – readings, poems and even a stunning acapella sung by the brother of the Bride. I got to see my first Scottish Quaich, where a cup is sipped from by Bride and Groom signifying love, dedication and the unifying of two families!

These guys were such a fun bunch to photograph. Look out for the groomsmen photo – I came over from the bridesmaid shot and they were all ready in position!! Encapsulating some cool album cover photo I mistakingly thought they were impersonating some 16th century Sea Captains. Similar vibe I guess.

With some incredible feasting, live band and a Ceilidh, cocktails and fire pits, this wedding was an absolute corker! And by the sounds of it, the new Mr & Mrs McDermott are carrying on that tend into the honeymoon!

Many happy returns to you Sophie & Alex!

Leila & Ryan

What a corker of a wedding this was! Leila & Ryan created a wonderfully natural & relaxed day that I thoroughly enjoyed photographing.

The already stunning grounds of Wilde Lodge was filled with wild flowers and streams of ribbon. Leila had scented the air with her favourite incense for the ceremony. And this ceremony was unlike any I’d heard before – their celebrant took us on a journey, regaled us with the love story of Leila & Ryan. It was heartfelt and hilarious, emotional and uplifting – a real joy to listen to!

We didn’t get a sunny day but to be honest, it really didn’t matter! The welsh countryside looks magnificent in the grey misty weather. Truly atmospheric. And the happiness coming off our Bride & Groom was radiance enough for us all!

A big up to the staff at Wilde Lodge for their excellent service – a stunning table set up – and CSONS for another great feast – as always!

Leila & Ryan, I wish you a very happy future as husband & wife – may the love and laughter continue on!

Sian & Sam

This beautiful wedding was set in the grounds of Tall John’s House in the Brecon Beacons. With the incredible day of sunshine bestowed upon us (Huzzah!) , we got to enjoy an outdoor ceremony for Sian & Sam.

It was such an idyllic day. The grounds were in full bloom with bluebells, the ceremony was heartfelt and funny, there was a genuine buzz of joy amongst everyone. And not more so than Sam! I can’t remember seeing a more excitable groom!

You could actually feel the love emanating for this couple. Everyone was there to celebrate, support and wish them well! It was a delight to be around this merry band.

Sian & Sam, I wish you every happiness in your marriage and soon to be family of three … many congratulations!
